Nice job :ahoy:

If you are starting out with a tablet, check out this link, [link]

It's for a brush pack that is just plain awesome and lots of fun to work with.

thanks ^^ can def use those! id hardly say im just starting out. thing is, ive had the tablet for over a year now but work just keeps me sooo busy that I rarely get time to practise looking up when i draw than down. Really thinking about investing in the wacom inkling though...will first see what other people think of it before i go spending the money on it

No problem ^^

The brush set is pretty sweet, I've only used it in a few images (the cloud brush) and the results have been pretty decent.

Haha, work is the ultimate killer of tablet practice time. I've also had a tablet for about a her and rarely get to have fun with it thanks to work commitments :(

Everyone seems to be keen for the new Inkling, it looks amazing, but as you say, rather wait for some reviews before splashing out on it... plus, I imagine it's going to cost the Earth for the fancy toy

Its actually not that bad. Think itll price between R2000 - R3000. Cheaper than the intunios.

I would prefer to try it out though before I buy it but where in cape town do you think ill find a place that will import toys like that for demo purposes :/

That actually sounds pretty reasonable for such a nifty toy

Haha, at least the rest of the world knows where Cape Town is, try finding anything related to Wacom in Alberton North... I swear the only thing that would make my hood more desolate are some tumble weeds

Haha, I think Vanderbijl is a little more desolate than Alberton... we have a McDonald's you know :P

Oh yeah, I'm quite keen for Rage, always pretty decent to visit. But you guys down in the Cape have more conventions, especially that Tattoo Convention that they usually do towards the end of the year.

So does vanderbijlpark. 2 I last checked :P
more happening in that "little" town than what people think

we do have more art-sy conventions but the IT based ones are very VERY scarce
but then again...we have OC once a month...but thats more lanning than anything else

So tell me what software are you using? I think I've asked you this before. Just curious.

its a small program called "MyPaint". Fun thing to screw around with. Sadly if you work toooo big or have tooo many layers in a picture, it doesnt like to save the file :/ its good motivation though that if you start something to finish it in one go.One needs that sometimes. But the main thing im using it for it concepting art and line art since its got an inking brush called "Delayed Ink". My hands not the steadiest in the world and that brush makes my line art smoother than any other brush.

For other things....photoshop.

depends what you define as vector.ive actually done none of my current gallery works in vector (which to me means I use either illustrator or corel draw to create a full editable drawing). Im just tooo lazy to do them in full vec. rather just paint them.

You should do it in vec! It's awesome... then again I seem to be the only person on dA that uses corel draw a lot.
